Freezing trawling fleet from Spain and Galicia possess great fishing interests located in fishing areas of third countries. This fleet is made up with vessels built in the eighties becoming nowadays out-of-time and non-competitive. A remarkable part of Galician firms with the most international impact and technological capacity within the naval sector participate in the ARALFUTUR project. This project intends to recover such competitiveness through the design and implementation of technological advances which represent a real innovation for the different sections of the vessels.
